Aria Rain Brooks
Aria is a bright, joyful little girl whose smile lights up every room she enters. At just 23 months old, she has already captured the hearts of countless people, but Aria is facing a medical challenge no child should ever endure.
Aria is the treasured youngest member of her family of four the missing piece her parents dreamed of for years. But her life has been marked by pain, uncertainty, and a medical journey far beyond her years.
Aria’s Medical Battle
When Aria was just 4 months old, her parents noticed an unusual head tilt and discomfort. Over time, Aria developed severe symptoms including:
Persistent right-sided torticollis (head tilt)
Pain when lying flat or in her car seat
Head twitching, crying, and holding the back of her head
Regression in speech, increased sleepiness, and frustration
Despite countless doctor visits and specialist consultations, Aria’s condition remained without answers until recent imaging revealed:
Fourth cranial nerve palsy
Enlarged pineal gland with cysts
Lesions growing within her pineal gland
This diagnosis is serious and progressive. Without intervention, Aria’s symptoms are worsening, and time is critical.
What Treatments Aria Needs
Aria’s family has exhausted every avenue here in Australia and connected with leading pediatric neurosurgeons in Spain who specialise in treating her condition using advanced, minimally invasive techniques. These experts offer the best hope for reducing pain, preventing further neurological decline, and improving Aria’s quality of life.
However, this specialised brain surgery is not available locally and comes with substantial costs for surgery, ongoing care, and therapy.
How Much Help Aria Needs
Aria’s family must raise $150,000 to fund:
Specialist neurosurgery in Spain
Hospital care and medical treatment
Cranial and neck therapies
Post-operative support and recovery
This is far beyond their financial means, especially after years of medical expenses and emotional strain.
Madalyn Children’s Foundation
Thanks to the generosity of the public, funds have been raised through GoFundMe and her local community. However, Madalyn Children’s Foundation (MCF) has stepped in to help provide urgent support as an avenue to reach her funding goal with surgery available to treat Aria in mid-January 2026.
MCF is a registered not-for-profit charity endorsed by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Donations to MCF are tax-deductible, and 100% of funds raised for Aria will go directly toward her treatment and surgery. Learn about MCF and its mission: www.madalyn-childrensfoundation.org.au
